Our Philosophy

OUR STORY

Started in 2016, i4socialimpact is a social purpose company with a desire to help non-profit organizations in Hong Kong. i4 was co-founded by two HKU Master of Social Science in Nonprofit Management Graduates who want to make use of their experiences from their past lives in business with their passion to do more good.

Our name, i4socialimpact stands for what we hope to achieve and proliferate – I’m “for” social impact!

Also our four i's stand for Innovate, Ideate, Implement and Insight.

OUR VISION

Guided by the concepts of Human-Centered Design thinking, our collaborations strive to help NPOs develop their organization’s innovative thinking, produce meaningful insight, inspire creative ideas, and support practical implementation.
We are passionate about doing good and spreading the stories about all the good things, good people are doing.

OUR MISSION

Through an evidence-based approach, our mission is to help non-profit organizations through assessing their social impact, developing program evaluation standards, and improving their marketing, and communications capacities.

Our Philosophy
How we Help

How We Help

Our Framework at a glance

Understand You

As we believe in Human-Centered Designed thinking, the first thing we want to do is start a "Collaboratory" and meet with you to understand your organization and the good you are doing.

Landscape Analysis

To help us further understand your situation better, we conduct research into the current environment, including a market and stakeholder analysis, and a literature review to gather insight.

Data Construction

This is the fun part. Here, depending on your situation, we design and construct data collection approaches specific to your organization's needs.

Your Impact Revealed!

Finally, you will receive your Social Impact Assessment report which is evidence-based and backed by data. And of course, insights and recommendations gained from your results.

Who we are

Nice to meet you!

William Chu

Co-Founder & Insights Partner

William was the COO of a Hong Kong office & International Research Center and the Regional Information Service Director in Asia Pacific of a top-tier international market research firm before he became a consultant for the non-profit sector.

During his 17+ years in the role, he pushed forward technological developments in data collection, management and processing. He has extensive experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods and has a clear understanding of how to initiate and implement research projects.

Inspired by his desire to work together with NGOs and NPOs to solve the challenges they face in Hong Kong, William started a new chapter in his career after completing his full-time study by obtaining his Master degree in Nonprofit Management at the University of Hong Kong and co-founded i4socialimpact in 2016.

He aims to empower NGOs and NPOs to become more efficient by building up their capacities in measuring social impact, and developing research needs and data analysis by utilizing his extensive experience in market research and management.
